#73 closed enhancement (fixed)

Backtrace call-site location

Reported by: gz Owned by: mikel
Priority: normal Milestone: Cocoa IDE v1
Component: IDE Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I'm really missing the LispWorks? feature where you can go directly from a backtrace frame to the call site in the source, i.e. in a backtrace of FOO calling BAR, you can issue a command to end up in the source of FOO with that particular call to BAR highlighted.

I'm not expecting this for 1.1, but just want to put it on record as a great feature, in case somebody is looking for a fun compiler project to do...

Note that compiler support is now done (see *record-pc-mapping*) so all that remains is actual IDE support.
