Since HEAP-IVECTOR instances are ignored by the GC, one has to wrap them in some other object to which a finalizer is attached, which is inconvenient. It would be better if HEAP-IVECTORs were automatically disposed while, at the same time, still allowing for manual disposal.

I believe there may be a problem with the latest CCL trunk. The problem occurs when I try to load the :chunga library from a recent Quicklisp distribution.

The attached script can be used to recreate the problem.

Here is the error and a backtrace:

It appears that this is provoked by the Chunga file known-words.lisp, found in:

   dists/quicklisp/software/chunga-1.1.6/known-words.lisp

I don't see that this file is particularly doing anything strange, so perhaps there is a CCL problem?

I recently recompiled my ccl from svn trunk, and got this error:

ccl --eval '(require "asdf")' --eval '(asdf:make "named-readtables")'

Error: Undefined function CCL::RDTAB.ALIST called with arguments (#<error printing READTABLE #x30200095218D>) . While executing: %MAKE-READTABLE-ITERATOR, in process listener(1).

Apparently, named-readtables relied on the old rdtab.alist to build a %make-readtable-iterator.

Can you provide some API that iterates over your sparse-vector and/or your readtables?
